Rafael Arroyo has always exhibited a self-starting, entrepreneurial drive. After his family relocated to Las Vegas from Puerto Rico when he was just 6, he graduated from Rancho High School. Just a few short years later, Rafael opened his first Smog Plus business. Today, Smog Plus has 10 locations, employing more than 25 people.
Rafael helps others overcome bureaucratic roadblocks.
Rafael has experienced the red tape and bureaucratic roadblocks that government can put in the way. He wants to inspire others to overcome obstacles and pursue their visions. He knows firsthand that drive, determination, and hard work can lead to success. As a member of the Latin Chamber of Commerce, Rafael helps other businesses grow and uses the benefit of his experience to assist new entrepreneurs in overcoming obstacles and finding success.

Rafael already understands how to achieve legislative success. As president of the Registration Services Association of Nevada, Rafael won victories for Nevada residents. He successfully fought for passage of Assembly Bill 288, crucial legislation that helped make sure residents could access registration services during the COVID-19 pandemic.
